McLean County Functional Needs Registry

The McLean County Functional Needs Registry is a program set up to help individuals with special needs during an emergency situation. The program is a voluntary registration by county residents with functional needs to help local emergency responders during an emergency with planning and preparedness, so they know in advance who needs extra assistance. Inclusive Education Guidelines

Down Syndrome: Guidelines for Inclusive Education is the first document of its kind in the United States. The document addresses the education settings that support students with Down syndrome, covering the period from early intervention and primary education through secondary and through higher education, with the primary focus being K-12 students.

Redbird Readers!

Adult Literacy Program

The mission of this program is to provide an opportunity for individuals with Down syndrome to maintain and build upon their academic skills. The program is available to all persons with Down syndrome who are at least 18 years of age (with priority given to those out of high school) and who live in McLean County. The program fee is about $250 per semester if there are at least 16 participants (fee would increase if participation numbers decrease).

Consumer Stipend Funds from The ARC
